  1. This article tugs at my heart because I see African American boys on a daily basis living without a father’s guidance. They come to school angry as young as kindergarten. It is hard to watch because there is nothing I can do to fix their situation. However, the one thing I can do is show them love, respect, and acceptance. I will often tell them that I love them and ask them if they are to big for a hug. These young boys will smile and tell me no, and a hug is what they will get.
