Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid

The phrase, “don’t drink the kool-aid” was coined during the late seventies, and is referring to the Rev. Jim Jones Jamestown Massacre. During this time a group of people, blindly followed Rev. Jim to their death, drinking kool-aid laced with cyanide.  It is now used to warn individuals to choose carefully who they follow. So let me ask you, “Whose kool-aid are you drinking? Whose every word do you hang on to? Who would you follow to your death?” These are questions we need to ask ourselves on a regular basis.

Matthew 7:15 tells us to beware of false prophets. Beware of those prophets who are wolves disguised like sheep. As the kingdom calendar progresses, we are warned by Jesus that false preachers will appear and lead many people astray (Matthew 24:11).  Therefore, be careful who you listen to. Compare every word to God’s word. Study scripture day and night asking the Holy Spirit for discernment and understanding. God is the only way people, the only way! He will be your guiding light in a dark, dark world.

Let me ask you again, “Whose kool-aid are you drinking? Whose every word do you hang on to? Who would you follow to your death?” Look up! Look around! Be aware of your surroundings! Make sure you are following the ONE TRUE GOD! The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob!

In His Name,

Snowbyrrd
